Transforming a software product team toward end-to-end AI development.

The challenge

Building a feature at WPS involved a sequence of handoffs across seven people. Moving an idea through that process could take three to eight weeks. We connected the steps into a single workflow the product team could direct from Slack.

Our work

Find and research the opportunity

The agent analyzes product usage and user analytics to surface feature ideas, then researches the codebase to determine how to build them.

Build across the product

It references the design system and implements the front end and back end across repositories, so new work follows the product’s existing design and architecture.

Test the way a person uses it

Alongside linting and unit tests, the system runs end-to-end tests by using the application. This covers both web experiences and native iOS applications.

Prepare the release and its measurement

It prepares a pull request, release notes, and a video showing the feature. Feature flags and analytics dashboards give the team control over rollout and a way to assess performance after release.

The result

The build cycle now takes hours. Product team members can direct the workflow through Slack, while people retain control over review and the sequence of releases. We also supported adoption through workshops, coaching, and internal AI champions.
